The 44th edition of the International Nautical, Hunting, and Fishing Show was ceremoniously opened on April 4th at Hall 1 of the Belgrade Fair
The opening was attended by Vuk Perović, the director of the Port Governance Agency.
Minister of Economy Slobodan Cvetković, marking the beginning of the event, emphasized that the fair's slogan "There can be only one course" also speaks about Serbia's course, which is clear, and that is "Leap into the Future."
He mentioned that Serbia has exceptional nautical potentials, thanks to the Danube and Sava rivers, but also a rich network of canals and numerous attractions along the banks.
"The capital project “Sail through Serbia” initiated by the Port Governance Agency, will further boost several economic sectors. Our waterways can be the golden link for the special international exhibition EXPO 2027, thanks to which Serbia will be the center of the business world," Cvetković explained.
State Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism and Youth Uroš Kandić emphasized the exceptional importance of nautical potentials and waterways for tourism development in Serbia.
"Activities are being carried out to build appropriate nautical infrastructure, primarily on the Danube," Kandić said, noting that construction has begun on the infrastructure project for the marina in Veliko Gradište.
Nenad Ivanišević, the Secretary for Economy and Tourism in the Provincial Government, said that Vojvodina has numerous opportunities for the development of nautical tourism. He added that the construction of the international passenger terminal in Banostor will give a new dimension to further improving this economic sector.
After the opening ceremony, Cvetković visited the stand of the Tourism Association of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, where the Agency promotes the goals and activities of the "Sail through Serbia" project.
Participation in the show has attracted more than 100 direct and indirect exhibitors from five countries. Visitors will be able to see current models of speedboats, yachts, sailboats, boats, inboard and outboard motors, and related equipment until April 8th.
