Port Governance Agency has recorded in the first nine months of this year a significant increase of cargo traffic in Serbian ports. By September 30, 2018, 8.65 million tons of goods were reloaded. Compared to the same period last year, an increase of 1.75 million tons was recorded, i.e. 25.35% more goods were reloaded than in first three quarters in 2017.

The most frequently reloaded type of cargo, with the most significant increase, are gravel, sand and stone aggregates. Ores are in second place, thanks to increased activities in the port in Smederevo. Oil and oil products are the third most common type of goods, while cereals have recorded a fall in the volume of cargo and they are in the fourth place. Nearly 72% of the cargo was transshipped in the declared port areas.

By the 1st of October, 1034 port calls were registered on six international passenger terminals, 16.5% more compared to the same period of the previous year.
