In the year of 2015, the Port Governance Agency has created the atmosphere and has provided the conditions for efficient functioning of the market of port services. Thanks to the joint efforts and good cooperation with the Government of the Republic of Serbia and relevant ministrie, the year behind us has brought great changes in the field of water transport and port activities.
On the proposal of the Agency, the RS Government adopted the Regulation.
On the conditions that must be fulfilled by ports, harbors and temporary transshipment sites.
Port Government Agency has also formed in the Registry of port operators.
The first issued license for port operator in the Republic of Serbia was received by the TE-KO "Kostolac" to build a dock for their own needs, and the total value of the investment is 13 million euros.
For the first time in the Republic of Serbia was introduced a system of charging for the use of goods in general use.
There were 108 registered fee payers in all respects, and the percentage of collection was 96%.
The Government of the Republic of Serbia adopted the Memorandum of Understanding on the construction of a new port in Belgrade, which was signed with the Chinese company China Environmental Energy Holdings CO. Ltd., and the Agency participated in the preparation of the project and was working on a Feasibility Study.
This year, the Port Governance Agency is expecting implementation of the provisions of the Law on navigation and inland waters, which will be regulated by granting concessions to provide port services, and in the preparation of annual and medium-term plan of giving the port concession for the period from 2016 until 2020. year.
One of the priorities is the development and implementation of information systems. The introduction of the electronic system of keeping records, electronic applications Portal (PEP ), will allow taxpayers applications which will be submitted electronically, and the integrated port information system will provide a centralized data collection, processing and distribution of data in the field of business activities carried out in ports.
The plan is to prepare eleven Regulation on determining the port area. Special attention will be payed to the development of passenger port in the Republic of Serbia - investment in the first phase in infrastructure is more than a million euros. This project will contribute to the development of passenger traffic on rivers and enrich the tourist offer.
