Port Governance Agency paid 101 million dinars into the budget of the Republic of Serbia. Funds paid represent a surplus of revenues over expenditures that Agency achieved in 2016, by charging port and harbor dues.
In addition, the part of the port and harbor dues, in amount of 9 million dinars, was invested in the port infrastructure in Pancevo, Belgrade, Bogojevo and Senta.
The twice as high realized surplus of revenues, compared to the previous year is the result of an increased volume of reloaded cargo on the rivers in Serbia, good cooperation with all participants in the inland water transport and responsible business of the Agency. Aim of the Agency in the following period is to create an even more favorable environment for business in the ports, by encouraging the development of infrastructure and new investments.
