PGA representatives attended the expert meeting dedicated to the promotion of cooperation between Serbia, Hungary and Slovakia in the field of river and nautical tourism

After the recent meetings on the possibilities for further development and promotion of tourism cooperation between Serbia and Hungary, in cooperation with the Department of Tourism and Hospitality and Expert Department of Strategy for navigation, trade and Industrial Chamber of Budapest, today's meeting opened many issues in the field of tourism, with special emphasis on the river and nautical tourism in Serbia and Vojvodina, as well as in neighboring countries.

What goes in favor of optimism in the field of development of nautical tourism in Serbia is the data of the Port Governance Agency of the Republic of Serbia that performs a detailed analysis in this area. Evident is a constant increase in the number of call and the number of travelers who come to Serbia by river cruisers. Last year was registered 958 landing and 119,000 coast crossings, more precisely, about 85,000 tourists who visited our country in this way. The Agency's objective is to achieve by 1,300 landing and over 130,000 passengers annually 2020.

The Republic of Serbia has three-points of landing for cruisers, Novi Sad, Belgrade and Donji Milanovac. Complete infrastructure for this purpose have Smederevo, Golubac and Kladovo - Đerdap. City of Novi Sad has three harbors for nautical tourism it is a very important aspect of travel.

The meeting was attended by the Minister - Counselor for economic Affairs at the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Budapest Oto Kišmarton, Chairman of the Expert Department of Strategy of navigation trade and Industrial Chamber of Budapest Csaba Jung, Special Adviser at the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Aleksandar Denda, Director of Port Governance Agency Vuk Perovic, the head of the Port Authority Belgrade Branislav Milešić, head of the Port Authority Novi Sad Boris Oreb, President of chamber of Commerce Boško Vučurević, Director of Tourism Organization of Vojvodina Dr. Natasa Pavlovic, director of the Tourist Organization of Novi Sad Branislav Knežević, representatives of the Slovak Chamber of navigation, representatives of the Tourist Organization of Serbia, as well as representatives of numerous associations, organizations and businesses in this area.
