Representatives of the Port Governance Agency met with the delegation of National Company The Maritime Danube Ports Administration SA Galati (APDM) from Romania and talked with them about the future cooperation between two institutions.
On that occasion, Srđa Lješević, Head of Center for port operations in the Agency, who in charge of international cooperation, pointed out that the Agency and APDM worked as partners on the Interreg project Danube Ports Network (DAPhNE), and that the knowledge gained in this project contributed to further improvement of Danube ports in Serbia and Romania. According to him, the implemented activities fully reflect the overall goal - efficient and sustainable ports and their integration into international multimodal transport chains.
Representatives of the APDM stated that they represent port authority for Maritime Danube Ports in Romania, and among them are the three most important in the part of the Danube flow through Romania - Galati, Braila and Tulcea. They emphasized the efforts of the Agency for the regulation of port activities in the Republic of Serbia and stressed that the continuation of cooperation with the Agency is important, bearing in mind that good results in Danube ports are based on the joint work of port authorities.
It was agreed at the meeting to intensify further communication between the two administrations, in order to exchange experiences and initiate joint projects.
