The consortium was presented with the Act and Certificate of Registration in the Listing of licensed port operators, number 0016. The Consortium is now the first port operator registered in the Listing, which will perform its activities at the international passenger terminal in Kladovo, in following 10 years.
The agreement predicts the mandatory investment of the operator in port infrastructure and superstructure, in the amount of EUR 88 thousand.
"The Port Governance Agency has declared 2017 as the year of passenger terminals in Serbia. The contract that we signed today is the result of intensified activities of the Agency in promoting waterway passenger traffic. Passenger terminal in Kladovo offers the possibility for the economic growth in Eastern Serbia. Simultaneously with the development of the line traffic with Romania, this local self-government will be able to greet the first cruisers and foreign tourists in the next nautical season. We owe special gratitude to the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the relevant ministries, without their help and investments, the realization of such a significant project would not be possible", stressed Vuk Perovic, acting director of Port Governance Agency.
