Danube Skills project partner meetings were held on September 12 and 13 in Vienna and Krems, at the premises of Via Donau.
On the first day, previous activities and further steps in the work package 4 were considered. Goal of the Work package 4 is to develop the competent institutions from the countries of the Danube region. According to the leading partners on WP 4, the aim is to establish one-stop-shop in each country- project partner, until the end of the project, in accordance with legal frameworks and jurisdiction. The role of the one-stop-shop institution is reflected in the ability to provide information and services related to inland waterway transport on the Danube.
In Krems, project partners discussed the development of transnational cooperation, strategies and action plans to build capacities in the area of inland waterway transport on the Danube. In addition, the new tasks expected in the upcoming period were presented.
After the meeting, representatives of the institutions-project partners visited the port in Krems.
The next meeting of project partners will be organized in February 2018 in Constanta, Romania.
