Danube SKILLS meetings in Bratislava- 24.09.2018.

Danube SKILLS project meetings were held in Bratislava on September 18 and 19. The representatives of the Port Governance Agency attended the meetings, since PGA participates in the project as an IPA partner.

The topic of the first day was the analysis of the previous results and the organization of the final activities, bearing in mind that the end of the project is scheduled for June 2019. According to the lead partners, the team involved in the project implementation was evaluated by the relevant European organizations as one of the best.

During the second day, within the work package 4, the training on market potentials in the Danube Region was organized. The presenters explained the possibilities for improving the business, as well as for the development of the Danube navigation.

The second part of the meeting was dedicated to the regional gathering of the countries that comprise the upper, middle and lower streams of the Danube, so representatives of the Agency had the meeting with partner institutions from Croatia and Hungary on the subject of simplification of procedures in the area of boarding control.

Further steps, future activities and deadlines for next period were agreed, with the belief that the outputs of the Danube SKILLS project will contribute to the creation of a successful Danube region.
