Port Governance Agency became the first Serbian full member of the European Federation of Inland Ports (EFIP). Admission to the membership was confirmed at the session of the General Assembly of the federation held on June 3, 2020, at which, among other things, the work of the Agency was presented.
Through its work in EFIP, the Agency will have the opportunity to exchange experiences and knowledge with European colleagues, in order to improve the port sector in Serbia. Membership in this important international organization will also contribute to the integration of our ports into the global transport chain.
The European Federation of Inland Ports brings together nearly 200 inland ports and port authorities from 18 countries, including the countries of the European Union, Switzerland and Ukraine. During its 25 years of existence, EFIP has strengthened its role as a nodal point between inland ports and European institutions. There is a constant exchange of information on current issues between decision makers and members. In addition, EFIP promotes inland ports, their activities and economic importance, in order to increase the visibility of the port sector in the European transport, political and business environment.
