A meeting of the working groups of the Agency and APDM was held

The first meeting of the working groups of the Port Governance Agency and the Romanian National Company „Maritime Danube Ports Administration” SA Galati, (APDM) was held on March 10 in online format.

The meeting is the result of cooperation included in the Memorandum of Understanding on Inland Waterways, which was signed by the two port authorities in September 2021.

Representatives of the two institutions discussed further steps towards the improvement of Danube ports and adopted topics that will be addressed in the coming period.

The director of the Agency, Vuk Perović, pointed out that the agreed activities are of great importance for the development of ports and port activities, as well as for the integration of ports into multimodal chains.

Alexandru Serban, General Director of APDM, said that the cooperation with the Agency will greatly contribute to increasing the visibility of the ports on the Danube on the European port map.

It was agreed to organize a study visit to Galati in May, during which the Agency and APDM will exchange experiences and initiatives for new projects.
